FROM THE EARTH
FOR THE EARTH
My name is Marci Bomford, and I hold a Master of Science in a field that taught me to read the land:
Its history, its fragility, its quiet resilience. For years, I've worked as a plant grower, propagator, healer, landscape designer;
Shaping spaces that work with nature rather than against it.
And in the studio, I shape pottery from harvested earth, formed by hand, fired into stone.
We are living in a time of climate uncertainty. Every choice matters. The materials I use, the gardens I design, the pots I fire: all are chosen with intention. I work with local materials when possible. I design landscapes that support pollinators, retain water, and restore small pockets of biodiversity. I create pottery meant to last, not for a season, but for generations.
This is a small, steady practice of care.
A way of saying: We belong to this land. Let's tend it well.
